Isdemir port is located within territories of iskenderun iron and steel works on iskenderun bay of the eastern mediterranean.It is 18 km away from the highway so called E 5.
The harbour entrance to be about 17 m. deep to within 70 m.of the north breakwater and to within about 30 m. of the south breakwater Max. draft is about 16,40 m. and the turning circle available at this draft is about 500 m. diameter. (port entry width : 325 meter)
Large vessels (over 100,000 d.w.t.) and tankers are not allowed to enter during hours of darknes, If vessel arrives with over 100,000 tones cargo or 16,40 m draft a fourth tug is berthing provided from Isdemir port.
